when fighting your way to work a descent skype with win 8 - this is the best.
and also better than the way you must register with microsoft store as an app to get it.
this portable is simply working also on 64bit win8 system.
it save your user name and prefernces in a folder named "Data" this way if you wnat to cleanup your privacy just delete it.
you dont need this folder it creates it everytime you open skype, but then you need to reenter your credential and any reconfigure changes you made once again.
this portable version is the desktop version and not the app version which means it has more features as the good old skype had.
if you want few profiles on the same pc - just rename data folder and let another user open skype it will create his uniqe profile.
